Seed (film) 

Seed is a 1931 film made by Universal Pictures, produced and directed by John M. Stahl and co-produced by Carl Laemmle Jr., from a screenplay by Gladys Lehman, based on a novel by Charles G. Norris. The music was by Heinz Roemheld and the cinematography by Jackson Rose.

The film stars John Boles, Frances Dade, Bette Davis with Raymond Hackett, Zasu Pitts, Genevieve Tobin and Richard Tucker.
