The Webb Brothers are a rock band from Chicago, Illinois.
History
The Webb Brothers are Christiaan, Justin and James Webb, sons of songwriter Jimmy Webb. Christiaan and Justin attended Boston University together before moving to Chicago. The band recorded a demo with drummer Neil Ostrovsky in 1998 and shopped it around to labels, but none expressed any interest. The band played a successful show in London, England, and moved there in January 1999 hoping their fortunes would be better there.
The band released a limited edition 7" EP there, which sold out in a week, and significant media attention followed. They inked a deal with Warner Music, releasing a compilation of their demos called 'Beyond The Biosphere' on the major label in the summer of 1999, and followed it with the critically-acclaimed Maroon on Atlantic Records in 2000. James then joined his brothers in 2003 for a self-titled release on 679 Records.
The Webb Brothers are now based in L.A. and are currently writing and recording their fourth album, The God Helmet.
